I\u2019ve been taking a bit of a break from social media but the shop is very much still open! However, if you pop over to the Rhubarb and Runner Beans Instagram or Facebook it would appear on the surface that nothing is happening. Of course, that isn\u2019t entirely the case. As I take time away from the social media noise, my brain doesn\u2019t switch off it mulls over, reflects, makes plans and helps me to see things from different perspectives. I\u2019ve allowed my mind to wander and to get some benefits from resting. I have been feeling the pressure of playing the social media algorithms game, which I don\u2019t play too well! This is where this website is so nice, I can turn up whenever I want, write a blog or create a design.<\/p>
In fact, I\u2019ve been playing here quite a lot recently; experimenting and trying out new ideas and designs. I\u2019m still really at the start of building collections, which is why some of them are a little sparse at the moment. However, I\u2019m slowly adding designs and new collections including the recent introduction of men\u2019s sizes. To be honest, it\u2019s a lot of fun! I\u2019d rather it was this way instead of a slog or being tied to algorithms. I can work when I have time or when inspiration strikes which is ideal for me as I still fall down with fatigue regularly (a result of recent stress and an ongoing recovery from cancer). So, although I\u2019m having to conserve my energy, in some areas, I\u2019m still here building up my shop which is always open. Designs are created by me but all the printing and packing is in the very capable hands of Teemill.
